UAE may experience rain on Sunday and Monday, motorists urged to exercise caution

UAE will be affected on Sunday and Monday by a surface depression extending from the southwest, with a depression extending into the upper layers of the atmosphere, accompanied by an air current from the west, and clouds at intervals, resulting in light to moderate rain, sometimes heavy, in some areas, especially the northern, eastern and coastal areas, with a drop in temperatures, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

NCM indicated that Saturday’s weather would be clear to partly cloudy at times, becoming cloudy at night in some coastal and northern areas, with the possibility of light rains falling on Sunday morning, with a rise in temperatures, and light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds, speeding from 10 to 20 up to 30 kilometres /h.

The sea on Saturday, according to NCM, will be light in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.

Sunday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of rains falling on some coastal, northern and eastern areas, and winds would be southeasterly to northeasterly, turning northwesterly in the afternoon, light to moderate and active at times and stirring dust on the sea, speeding from 15 to 30 up to 40 kilometres/h, NCM reported.

It is also expected that the sea on Sunday will be moderate, gradually turbulent in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman, while Monday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy, to cloudy at times, especially in the east, with a chance of rains falling, and a drop in temperatures, especially in the west. It will be humid at night and on Tuesday morning, with the possibility of light fog formation in some inland areas.

Winds on Monday are expected to be northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate and active, especially on the sea, with speeds of 15 to 25, amounting to 40 kilometres/h.

The sea will be turbulent to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, and light to moderate, sometimes turbulent at night in the Sea of Oman.

Tuesday’s weather, according to NCM, will be clear to partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times, especially to the west, with the possibility of rains falling on Wednesday morning and humid at night and on Wednesday morning, in some interior areas.

Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate and active at times, speeding from 10 to 20, amounting to 35 kilometres/h, while the sea will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman, NCM indicated.
