In the era of fast growing information technology, the world has changed. Everything is now available online. There is a huge difference between reading books online and reading in print (“Books will never die as long as they spark curiosity, says Swiss envoy at ADIBF,” May 4, Gulf Today website).

I fully agree with the statement of Arthur Mattli, the Swiss Ambassador to the UAE, who said that book fairs will continue to be popular as long as human curiosity remains intact.

According to the report, speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, Arthur Mattli championed the enduring relevance of books, citing human curiosity as their eternal driving force.

There is no doubt that the amount of power printed books have over its readers who love to read it with their curiosity and imagination will remain the centre of attraction till the end of the world. Despite the fact that there are online books available and a number of newspapers are being published online, the love and passion of printed book reading will remain the hearty choice of readers all over the world.
