2kg heroin confiscated in Dubai

DUBAI: The Dubai Customs inspectors at the Cargo Village detected 2kg heroin hidden sophistically in women’s handbags and men’s shirts.

These items were kept in two transiting packages coming from an Asian country and heading to a Western country through Dubai.  According to Ahmad Abdullah Bin Lahej, director of Air Customs Centres Department at the Dubai Customs, the first package contained shirts and handbags and a necktie. During inspection, the inspectors suspected the contents of the bag so they scanned it with an X-ray device.

Meanwhile, one kilogramme of heroin was hidden in a similar way in the second package.
