Etisalat to launch Samsung Galaxy S4 Active 4G

DUBAI: Etisalat announced the exclusive launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 Active 4G (LTE) on Aug.12, 2013 with pre-orders starting on the website from Sunday.

Users can pre-order the device on prepaid and postpaid data plans at a price of Dhs2299. While subscribing for the prepaid plan users can avail 1GB data free for first 3 months following, which a monthly rental of Dhs99 will apply.

Postpaid customers on the ‘No Contract’ can enjoy 10GB data capacity, 800 local minutes or 200 international minutes and 200 SMSs for a monthly rental of Dhs225 as part of the ‘Smartest Deal’ offer launched recently.

In addition to the above, users opting for the 12 or 18 months contract can avail the latest smartphone for free respectively starting Aug.12, 2013 across Etisalat business centre and outlets in UAE.

The first of its kind from the Samsung Galaxy series of smartphones, the new Galaxy S4 Active 4G (LTE) is purposefully designed for active users who love the outdoors enabling subscribers to use it outdoors  and on the beach.

The dust and water resistant feature provides protection from liquid splashes and submersion. Based on IP67* certification, the device comes with an Aqua Mode feature, which can be used to increase visual quality and clarity for enhanced under water images and videos.  The phone can also be taken to shoot and record up to 1 meter under water for a maximum period of 30 minutes.

Khaled El Khouly, Chief Marketing Officer, Etisalat said, “Etisalat is proud to be launching Samsung Galaxy S4 Active 4G, a unique and first of its kind smartphone device in UAE.  Subscribers will enjoy the combination of unique features of the Galaxy S4 Active and the data packages from Etisalat.

“Smartphone users can utilise our superior 4G LTE network, which now covers 80 per cent of the inhabited area of the country, allowing users of 4G phones to connect to the internet at speeds up to 150 Mbps.
