DUBAI: The Dubai Foundation Women and Children (DFWAC) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Faraj Fund to provide support and assistance for women and children victims of violence and human trafficking, exchange experiences in social and humanitarian services, and coordinate activities and initiatives.

The agreement was signed by Afra Al Basti, Director-General of Dubai Foundation for Women and Children and Saqr Nasser Lakhreibani Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of Al Faraj Fund.

Al Basti said that the signing of the agreement will greatly contribute to alleviating the hardship of many suffering with difficult financial and psychological conditions, and that the Foundation will provide them with psychosocial support as the Fund provides financial assistance.

She added that the Foundation works to provide all kinds of free services to victims of violence - such as housing, food, clothing, education and training - and that as a non-profit organisation, it is open to gaining more support from both the public and private sectors.
