SHARJAH: An Emirati in his 20s was killed in a traffic accident before the Al Hilu Bridge along the Mohamed Bin Zayed Road in Sharjah.

Three others sustained serious to moderate injuries.

Police patrols, rescue teams and ambulances reached the scene after the Operations Room received a tipoff on Friday. The injured were taken to hospital. An initial report cited over-speeding as the possible cause of the accident. Owing to over-speeding the driver lost control and the car crashed.
