Minister, team pay visit to UAE University

AL AIN: Mariam Hareb Almheiri, Minister of State, who is responsible for future food security, and her accompanying delegation visited the United Arab Emirates University, UAEU. They were briefed on the university’s programmes and plans related to agricultural science and food security.

During her visit, Almheiri met with Dr Mohammed Al Bialy, Director of UAEU, and toured the College of Food and Agriculture, to learn about its programmes and laboratories. While touring the college’s labs, she was also briefed by students on their applied research in water, soil, animal nutrition, food microbiology, and medical analysis of nutrition and orchards.
