AL AIN: Hundreds of people in Al Ain attended the funeral prayer on Monday afternoon for a Jordanian girl at the Hamoudah Bin Ali Mosque.

Danah Amjad Al Jarrar, a 9th grade student from Al Dhafra School, was killed on Feb.16 in a car accident. She was with her family in their vehicle which overturned and led to her death. The rest of the five family members sustained moderate to major injuries and fractures. They were admitted to Rashid Hospital in Dubai and were unable to even attend the funeral of their daughter.

A call to attend the funeral prayers and other rituals went viral on the social networking sites. Hundreds of people in Al Ain responded to the call and flocked to the funeral site, especially because the family lived alone in the country, and had no relatives. It was a large group of funeral attendees, that blocked the roads and area surrounding the mosque.
