SHARJAH: The Sharjah Criminal Court booked Feb.5 to give a ruling on the case of seven Asians charged with beating up a compatriot with wooden sticks, resulting in his death.

The incident occurred in the Sajaa area of Sharjah when disputes arose between the suspects and the victim regarding work. The suspects reportedly assaulted the victim to death, but they reached a settlement with the victim’s family who waived their retribution. The victim’s family accepted Dhs100,000, which the suspects submitted to the Consulate of the victim’s state. The victim’s family submitted certified documents affirming they had waived their retribution.
