‘DubaiID’ government service launched

DUBAI: In the presence of Wesam Lootah, CEO of the Dubai Smart Government, and Tarish Al Mansouri, Director General of Dubai Courts, Dubai Smart Government launched a campaign to register for the “DubaiID” service which provides access to more than 600 government services with one username.

The “DubaiID” services launched by the Dubai Smart Government, in cooperation with the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) easily provides public services around the clock, aiming to achieve the government vision to make Dubai the happiest city on Earth.

Dr Aisha Bint Butti Bin Bishr, Director General of the Dubai Smart City office, said: “We are keen to implement the smart initiatives lining with the general policies and strategic plans to ensure putting into effect the directives of the leadership to make Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world.”

The “DubaiID” was launched in response to the directives of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, to provide a standard ID code for each client, in line with the Dubai government initiative towards 2021 launched by Sheikh Hamdan.

Wesam Lootah said, “Activating the DubaiID service enables the public to access smart services in an innovative manner that would save time and effort, coming out of our commitment to achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, regarding doing the best to support the march of development.”

Registration for the service has been updated recently through the website: https://myid.dubai.gov.ae, to enable the user to enjoy a selected a bunch of smart and electronic government services.

The government services can be accessed by completing the registration with the fingerprint in the stalls scattered in Dubai, or via tablets which will be available at the government service centres.

Registration allows automatic entry to more than 600 services provided by 16 government entities in Dubai through a single user name and password.
