Dubai: Mohammed Balooshi, the most successful Arab motocross rider in the history of the sport in the GCC, will tackle on Dakar Rally, running through 3 countries in South America (Peru, Bolivia and Argentina) from Jan.6-20, 2018.

The Emirati star rider, who is rocking the most important Regional Championships this season, after recovering from an injury to his knee suffered at Round 2 of the FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship in Qatar last year, earned his spot at the start ramp of Dakar Rally’s special anniversary edition based on his records and outstanding results in the World Championship over the last couple of years, where we scored 6th in the world standings and finished as the 1st Private Team.

“The Dakar” how they call it, gathers the elite of the off-road racing. The best competitors from every corner of the world will meet in South America next month - where the iconic race takes place since leaving Africa, 8 years ago- and will battle for 2 weeks to reach the finish in Cordoba, Argentina, and share a portion of that marvelous glory of seeing the finish line, privilege usually reserved to merely a third part of the entrants.
