AD to host Arab space leaders’ meet

ABU DHABI:  Hosted by the UAE Space Agency, the Global Space Congress 2019 will bring together the leaders of Arab space agencies and organizations to discuss the status of the  space section within the region and its growing contribution to sustainable development.

The Congress, taking place at St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort between 19 - 21 March 2019, is the largest gathering of space  sector leaders in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region. The event brings together space agency leaders, aerospace executives, government representatives, and leading scientists and academics to discuss challenges, policies, strategies, and the latest  technologies in the space sector.

Dr Eng Mohammed Nasser Al Ahbabi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency, said, “The space industry is one  of the key drivers of human development and well-being, as a result of the industry’s numerous innovations which enhance our quality of life.”
