SHARJAH: The minimum early morning temperatures in the UAE cities gradually went up from the lowest recorded on Saturday to moderately cool on Monday. The same level of temperature will continue for another two days.

The relative humidity will increase during the night and early morning with a chance of mist/fog over some areas on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Tuesday will be partly cloudy over some western areas.

It will become cold by night and early morning. There would be light to moderate winds in general.

Wednesday will see almost a repetition of the previous day’s weather with light winds becoming stronger in the mountainous areas, the NCMS said.

Foggy conditions prevailed early on Monday due to the high humidity. They will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday as well.

The winter temperatures all over the Middle East hit the lowest of the season last Saturday, around 5°C in the UAE cities, meteorologists in Sharjah said.

The minimum temperature in Sharjah went up from 5.2°C on Saturday to 9°C on Sunday and 11°C on Monday, the source said.

The temperature was even less in the mountainous areas of Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

Al Ain recorded a minimum 12.1°C and a maximum 24°C on Monday, the source added.

Meanwhile, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) updated its website on Monday morning warning residents to be careful over outdoor activities because of the risks of bad weather.

The bad weather warning was applicable to the central part of the UAE, including the desert areas.

The weather on Monday was generally fair but slightly hazy along the coastal areas of Sharjah and partly cloudy at times over the western areas. The weather was moderate during the daytime and it will become relatively cold by night.

Light to moderate winds, which will become northwesterly during the daytime, and then easterly to northeasterly during night, were forecast for the day.
