Man in jail over fake documents

SHARJAH: The Sharjah Shari’a Court sentenced an Asian national to three months’ imprisonment to be followed by deportation on charges of falsifying a residence visa and exploiting it to give false information to official authorities.

The defendant was caught at Sharjah airport, as he was leaving the country and his papers were being checked by passport officers, it turned out that the residence and passport were fake.

On being questioned, he said that the image was only fake and was not his.
