DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has affirmed that the advancement of societies is now more dependent than ever on their ability to cope with the rapid and successive changes that are sweeping the world, particularly with the world entering the fourth industrial revolution and the technology experiencing tremendous development in various fields including the media sector, which has witnessed a radical development in the light of the technological solutions and platforms that have changed many concepts of media work.

Expressing his appreciation of the role played by media men as partners in the development process, Sheikh Mohammed valued the effect of constructive media on enhancing the ability of societies to overcome the challenges they face and find solutions that would enhance their future opportunities and enable individuals to accurately identify the demands for excellence in a rapidly changing world.

Sheikh Mohammed said so while attending Dubai Media Camp in Al Marmoum which was organised by the Government of Dubai Media Office in the presence of Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

The camp came as part of the ongoing efforts of the Government of Dubai Media Office to enhance Dubai’s communication processes and standards in accordance with international best practices and to employ the most effective and profound means for delivering Dubai’s message to the world in a way that reflects the important role that the UAE is playing as a genuine partner in shaping a promising future for the region and the world at large.

During the camp, which incorporated a number of brainstorming sessions and panel discussions, Sheikh Mohammed witnessed the launch by the Government of Dubai Media Office of a series of significant initiatives aimed at spreading the message of Dubai and the UAE worldwide.

Sheikh Mohammed listened to an explanation of the four initiatives launched during the camp, the first was concerned with the global media visits and the second with Dubai’s messages to the world, while the third focuses on finding unconventional opportunities for more rapprochement between media and decision-makers and the fourth on encouraging Dubai entrepreneurs.
