DUBAI: Spreading the word of happiness and giving and how the two play an important role in making the world a better place were the theme of the evening as Happiness Talks collaborated with The World Speech Day for a talk held in Dubai.

The talk saw 15 speakers take to the stage through the platform of Happiness Talks to share their thoughts about how happiness and giving can make the UAE and the world a better place. The event was held at Mattar Art Centre, Jumeirah, Dubai.

The speakers’ talks about giving, empathy, emotional intelligence, gratitude, inner happiness, making happiness a choice, well-being, health, relationships, purpose and meaning of life for increasing happiness levels, were delivered live for the audience present to learn and adopt from. The evening was also live-streamed globally, through the World Speech Day platform, and was viewed by thousands across the globe.

Reg Athwal, a world-renowned public speaker, author and entrepreneur, was the main speaker who awed the audience with his talk about “Unleashing their DNA of Happiness”. His stories and tips about the need for people to explore and unleash their internal and external happiness left the audience with self-exploration to find their inner happiness.

Rehan Naeem, Dr Omar Fisher, Ghanim al Falasi, Eva Kovak, Rasha Mohammed, Sakeena Mohammed Alfadhe Alhemieri and Dr Mona Youssri were some of the other prominent speakers that contributed to the initiative to support the UAE Happiness Initiative and share their thoughts and tools as a giving initiative in the “Year of Giving 2017”.

Mashal Waqar, Hannah Shibu, Dr Lina Almeristani and Milo Mitrovis were contributors from RIT Dubai, who shared their thoughts with the audience and the thousands watching around globe.

“Involving students and their thoughts to make a difference in the local community and the world felt so good,” said Waqar, a student at RIT Dubai.

“We had a chance to speak our heart out and make a contribution to make the UAE and the world a better place and that is such an awesome feeling,” said Shibu, another student at RIT Dubai.

Ghanim Al Falasi – SVP People Happiness Department at Dubai Silicon Oasis, mentioned that “we are in the process of creating a weapon of mass happiness. This is what this initiative of Happiness Talks is about. We want to go to the masses with happiness message and live the vision of our leadership to Make UAE the happiest country on earth.”

Rehan Naeem – Chief Happiness Enabler at Touch Points “thanked the World Speech Day for providing us with the platform to take the message of happiness and giving global. Happiness Talks today has not just facilitated happiness in the community here, but has now taken the message with motivation and results from Dubai to the world.”

Happiness Talks is a CSR initiative to support the “UAE Happiness Initiative” and the “ Year of Giving” to spread true inner happiness amongst the community here in the UAE. Delivered on a monthly basis, Happiness Talks is a free to attend event for the community from all walks of life to learn from and increase their happiness levels for a better and fulfilling life. The next event in the series will be conducted in April to share new and unique ways of enabling happiness for self and others.
