DHA, University of Udine sign MoU

DUBAI: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) signed an MoU to accomplish a joint programme aiming to create a cooperation and development on the scientific educational, research and medical level with the University of Udine, a pioneer in organ transplantation programmes.

The University of Udine, which was founded in 1978, is an Italian scientific institution, which is known for its organ transplantation programme (includes liver, kidneys and bone marrow) and organ transplantation from alive donors (liver and kidney transplantation and a strong relation with bone marrow and stem cell transplantation).

The university is also known for its heart transplantation and cardiology (including emergency in coronary diseases, oncology, rheumatology and autoimmune diseases, molecular diagnostics ad regenerative medicine) programmes.

The MoU was signed by Humaid Al Qutami Chairman of the Board and Director General of the DHA and by Professor Alberto Felice De Toni as his capacity as the rector of the university of Udine.
