Body established for Muslim minorities

ABU DHABI:  During a press conference that was held in Abu Dhabi on Monday, the senior organising committee of the World Conference of Muslim Minorities in non-Muslim Communities announced the establishment of an international organisation naming it ‘World Council of Muslim Minorities’, which will have its base in Abu Dhabi.

The committee of the conference which is scheduled to be hosted in Abu Dhabi from May 8-9 said that it had received a number of letters and requests from various renowned personalities and foundations representing Muslim minorities worldwide, to establish such a a global entity combining all the Muslim minorities.

More than 500 individuals from 140 countries are expected to attend the conference.
