FUNN: Sharjah Media City (Shams) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with FUNN on June 6, where they agreed on collaborating to drive the development of the media content sector within the Middle East & North Africa. Sharjah Media Arts for Youth and Children, FUNN, is an organisation established by the Sharjah government to promote and support the Media Arts (animation, film making, graphic design) for young children and the youth of Sharjah and UAE.

The MoU states that Shams and FUNN, in their capacity as strategic partners in content development (films and animation), broadcasting and distribution, are on an annual plan that is set to achieve an agreed upon vision with the aim of fostering young and aspiring talent in Sharjah and the UAE.
