DUBAI: The Omega Dubai Desert Classic held from Jan.28 to Feb.3 at the Emirates Golf Club drew a crowd of fans throughout the exciting week. Dubai Duty Free, a patron sponsor of the event, announced the lucky winner of a Mercedes Benz S500 in the Finest Surprise promotion in Series 1514.

Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher, champion of the tournament, made the draw accompanied by Dubai Duty Free’s Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman, Salah Tahlak, Senior Vice President (Corporate Communications), and Sinead El Sibai, Vice President(Marketing). Gallacher drew ticket no. 0036 in the presence of media and spectators after the prize presentation ceremony.

The lucky winner to take home the stylish Mercedes Benz S500 was Rupert Diss, a British national living in Dubai. Diss, a forty-three-year-old Director of Marketing and Innovation at Gallery One, who is a fan of classic cars, was thrilled to hear the news of his exciting win.

Commenting on his stroke of luck, Diss said: ‘It is an amazing news and I can’t believe that I have finally won after trying my luck with Dubai Duty Free for fourteen years.”
