DUBAI: The Dubai Public Prosecution referred a 39-year-old GCC policeman to the court, on charge of abusing the powers he had. He reportedly accessed the unified criminal system, and disclosed secrets of persons involved in unpaid cheque, in return for bribes, perfumes and gifts.

According to investigation papers, the second suspect in the case assisted the CID teams to arrest the first. He allegedly presented a bribe to the first suspect for disclosing secrets of persons involved in cases of dud cheques.

A trap was set and the second suspect contacted the first to give him the bribe agreed on. CID teams monitored the suspect and arrested him red-handed.
