Police intensify patrolling in emirates for New Year

abu dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police are intensify patrolling all around the emirate during the New Year festivities and a comprehensive plan has been in place to ensure traffic smoothness and people’s safety.

Brigadier-General Khalifa Mohamed Al Khaili, Director of the Abu Dhabi Police Directorate, has urged late-night and early-morning drivers to strictly abide by traffic rules and instructions, including speed limits, use of safety belts, keeping a safe distance and avoiding distractions in order to ensure their and their loved ones’ safety.

He accentuated Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to spare no effort in order to minimise accident causing-conditions and protect the rights of the public to a safe environment.

Safety measures

The Al Ain Police Directorate has advised the public to adhere to safety instructions during the New Year festivities, affirming that all necessary precautions have been taken to ensure people’s security during the festive season.

Preparations for the new year festivities have been thoroughly reviewed at a meeting headed by Brigadier-General Musalam Mohamed Salim Al Ameri, Director of Al Ain Police Directorate, to ensure smooth traffic and safety of residents and visitors of Al Ain at the city’s parks, shopping malls and other entertainment spots.

Al Ameri said the authorities have put in every single measure to enable the celebrations to be conducted in an absolutely safe manner, urging the public to abide by rules and ensure the safety of their children and belongings.

Al Ain Police Directorate is dedicating Hotline 999 through the Command and Control Centre to deal with all emergencies.
