Gitex to see 16 Pak firms

DUBAI: As many as 16 leading information technology companies from Pakistan will participate in the GITEX Technology Week 2016 to promote a number of products along with world leading firms.

This was stated by Dr Nasir, commercial counsellor at Pakistan Consulate in Dubai, while talking to The Gulf Today on Tuesday. The GITEX Technology Week will be held from Oct.16-20 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DTWC).

“Technology industry is becoming a fundamental aspect of life in Dubai’s economy and participation of technology companies from all over the world are helping the robust re-export of IT business which allows access to the Middle Eastern, Central Asia and North African markets,” he said.

He pointed out that the Pakistan IT firms will be showcasing their products under the umbrella of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). GITEX is the leading global IT industry event where professionals are involved in buying and selling products, services and equipments to come across new ideas, innovation and conduct direct B2B. “Such exhibitions connect domestic and international buyers/consumers with industry professionals,” he said.

The Pakistani companies to participate in the exhibition include Pakistan Software Export Board, EBRYX Pvt Ltd, Xplorer 3D, Motion Cue, Hayat Tech, Raide Communications & IT Solution (SMC), Tech Bridge Consultancy and Art Fusion and Viscous Co.

The Pakistan pavilion will be located in Sheikh Rashid and Start-up Movement Hall.

“The companies will showcase their products related to hardware and software  such as laptop, tablets, software developers, ERP Solutions, video productions, phone applications, printing solutions, design services and other applications,” he added.

He said that businessmen and professionals are invited to visit the pavilion to have a first-hand glance over the Pakistan IT products and services. “We hope that this event will prove mutually beneficial and enlightening for both the exhibitors as well as visitors having interest in the regard,” he added.
