Gloom descends

The sad and sudden demise of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam, Chairman of Dar Al Khaleej for Press, Printing and Publishing, has shocked the whole Gulf region. The whole nation including the business community in the UAE have extended their heartfelt condolences to his children, Khalid Abdullah, who is the Editor-in-Chief of Al Khaleej newspaper, Aysha Taryam, Editor-in-Chief, The Gulf Today, Ameera Abdullah, Editor-in-Chief, Kul-Al-Usra magazine, Omran Abdullah other family members and friends. May Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant the courage to the Taryam family to bear this irreparable loss.
 
Javed Jalil Khattak, Consul General of Pakistan, Dubai and Northern Emirates, says: “I am deeply grieved to learn about the sad demise of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam. His passing way is a great loss and has deprived the brotherly country of the United Arab Emirates of a great leader and media icon.

“The Government and the people of Pakistan extend their heartfelt condolences to his family and friends on this sad occasion.

“May Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant the courage to his family to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen!

Rizwan Sajan, Founder & Chairman, Danube Group, revealed: “My heart grieves over the loss of a great man. Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam was a great leader and a game changer for many of us. I express my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of a great man and my prayers are with his family during this difficult moment.”

Adeeb Ahamed, CEO of LuLu International Exchange, condoled the demise of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam by extending his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family members.

Adeeb described Dr Abdullah as a man of vision who worked tirelessly with exemplary steadfastness for the social development of the nation through journalism.

“Dr Abdullah, a renowned journalist, constantly promoted the virtues of compromise, reason and dialogue through his publications to uphold the truth. He dedicated his life to the uplift of the society continuously. His demise is a great loss to the nation, journalist fraternity and society,” he mentioned.

Habib Khan, General Manager, Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa and CEO of Planet Hospitality, revealed that it is indeed shocking to hear the sudden demise of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam. “As a faithful community we believe in returning to the creator, so did Dr Abdullah.

“May Allah Almighty bless his soul and give strength and  patience to the loved ones to bravely bear his departure.

“It’s a great loss to the nation; he will always be remembered for the great legacy he is leaving behind for journalism and the way forward to the youth. May Allah rest his soul in peace.”

Samiullah Rafi, Director, APL Global Logistics, mourned the death of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam. Rafi reiterated that Dr Abdullah was among those who contributed effectively in the founding of the UAE Union.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace and bestow patience on the deceased family.

Satish Khanna, General Manager, Al Fajeer Information Service, expressed his deep sorrow over the demise of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam.

He said the deceased was a loyal Emirati and symbol of the UAE and Arab media, citing his numerous achievements in the areas of culture and media.

Muhammad Abdul Wahid Khan, Press Counsellor, Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, said that the passing away of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam was a great loss to his family and friends.
“His sad demise has deeply grieved readers of Dar Al Khaleej Group publications. He was a media icon and role model in the field of journalism.

His death has deprived the media professionals of the United Arab Emirates of a great teacher.
“On behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan as well as on my own behalf, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family and friends on this occasion.

“May Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to his family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity. Ameen!

Amaduddin, Manager, Public Relations, Al Rais Group, expressed his profound sorrow on the demise of Dr Abdullah and prayed for solace to the bereaved Taryam family.

He added that the deceased contributed to the UAE and Arab media. “He also set up The Taryam Omran Centre for Media Training and Development, which provides free training to Emirati mediapersons. May Almighty Allah rest his soul in eternal peace.”

Talal Bayaa, Co-founder and CEO of bayzat, condoled the demise of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam by extending his deepest sympathies to the bereaved Taryam family.
He added that the deceased “was a great media icon, who revolutionised the dynamic media of the country. May Allah Almighty rest his soul in eternal peace and bestow patience on the deceased family.”

Jamil Ishaque, President, Al-Qantara Group, offered his condolences on the death of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam. He said that he was “very loyal and hardworking. We salute his efforts in the field of cultural and media. May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace and bestow patience on his bereaved family.”

Arshad Mahmoor Rana, Editor, Emarat News, paid his heartfelt condolences on the sudden demise of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam. He said that “he was a brave, loyal and true Emirati. In fact he was one of the national symbols who contributed to the development of the nation. His efforts to promote local  and Arab media are appreciable. May Allah Almighty bless his soul in heaven.”

Abdul Rahim, CEO, Geo Property Brokers, revealed that he was deeply shocked to hear about the sad demise of  Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam. No doubt Dr Abdullah death is a big loss to media sector of  the country. He was very loyal with his country and he played a key role in the UAE carving a niche in the whole world. May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace.”

Zulfiqar Shah, Editor, Dubai Post News Blog, has mourned the death of Dr Abdullah Omran Taryam, Chairman of Dar Al Khaleej for Press, Printing and Publishing, former Minister of Education and Justice Minister. He said “the deceased was a good friend of Pakistan. He was known as a symbol of the Arab media, citing his numerous achievements in the areas of culture and media. The late Dr Abdullah Omran was among those who contributed effectively in the founding of the UAE Union.”
 
Chaudhary Amjad Iqbal Amjad, poet and member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the UAE, has said that ìpeople don’t really leave us; a part of them lives on in us, through all the fond memories.
They stay in our hearts forever. After that, they feel what we feel. We should always remember that Allah needs the best and so he has chosen Abdullah Omran Taryam.
He was a wonderful human being. May his soul rest in peace.”
