Ajman strengthens ties with Malaysia, Singapore

AJMAN: Within the UAE commercial delegation led by Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) participated in the UAE-Malaysian Business Forum in Kuala Lumpur and the UAE-Singapore Business Forum in Singapore during Feb.5-8, 2018. The delegation also comprised Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade Affairs and a number of representatives of government departments in the country.

The Ajman Chamber’s delegation was represented by Hamad Bin Ghanim Al Shamsi, Board Member. He reiterated the importance of participation in these major economic events, which significantly support and enhance cooperation between different parties in all sectors, as well as highlighting the most important investment opportunities available.

He added that Ajman Chamber is keen to strengthen its presence in various international forums to ensure enhancement of its foreign cooperation and attract more foreign investment.


This further help to identify investment opportunities available in other countries and promote the local brands and companies under the umbrella of the Ajman Chamber. This translates the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council. He pointed out that the UAE-Malaysian Business Forum saw a number of workshops and agreements, as well as discussing many sectors, mainly the fields of Halal trade, technology, innovation, research and development, real estate development, infrastructure, clean and renewable energy and franchising. He also stressed the importance of entrepreneurship and its role in the growth of the economic sector.

On the other hand, Hamad Bin Ghanem explained that the UAE-Singapore Business and Investment Forum witnessed a review of the most important elements of the investment climate in the UAE and the government’s commitment to provide competitive investment components in the presence of an integrated infrastructure.

Furthermore, the Ajman Chamber discussed with all parties participating in the forums the ways of fostering the cooperation in a number of sectors, as well as highlighting the most important elements which the emirate of Ajman provides for the investors.

The meeting was also attended by Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary for Foreign Trade Affairs; Khalid Ghanim Al Ghaith, UAE Ambassador to Malaysia and Mohammed Hamdan Al Zaabi, Director of Commercial Promotion Department, Ministry of Economy.

Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori witnessed the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, which aims to strengthen and enhance economic cooperation while also promote investment opportunities.
