ABU DHABI: The Foreign Aid committee in the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) decided on Sunday to spend Dhs20 million in foreign aid in the coming phase.
The amount will be spent to finance a number of development projects in vital areas such as healthcare, education, sanitation and provision of drinking water in a number of countries including Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Somalia, Senegal, Sudan, Uganda and Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Djibouti, Sierra Leone, Tajikistan, Nigeria, Niger and Togo.
The committee, at its meeting on Sunday at RCA headquarters, considered 110 various applications for assistance from 18 countries.
