ABU DHABI: Heavy to medium showers lashed most areas of the country on Friday evening, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

This was accompanied by fresh winds and a remarkable decline in temperature in general, as opportunities for more rain to fall remain probable during the next days, according to the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).

In a statement issued by the NCMS on Friday, it expects that the weather on Saturday will be partly hazy in general and dusty occasionally.

The clouds increasingly are predicted to tower over the islands, coastal and inland parts in the country, which may be associated with rainfall.

The winds will be moderate and fresh at times stirring dust and dirt along the open areas, while it’s expected to be strong over the sea.

The relative humidity may increase during the night and early morning in the inland parts, the NCMS said.

The winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, blowing at speed of 18-36/40 km/h over the land, while it will be northwesterly at speed of 30-45/55 km/h over the sea, according to the statement.
