DUBAI: Dubai Police have unveiled a hydrogen powered drone aircraft used for the surveys of mountainous and maritime areas, and security surveillance during the 21st session of Intersec’s Fire, Security and Fire Safety Industries at the Dubai World Trade Center.

The drone will be used for security purposes. Major Abdullah Mohammed Al Balushi, Coordinator of Intersec 2019, said Dubai Police are keen to use the latest technology in the police and field operations as it makes it easier for police to carry out their day-to-day tasks. Eng. Wael Asaad Ibrahim, General Manager of Dubai Police Operations, said that the hydrogen has been used as a power fuel for the first time. The drone can fly for more than 3 hours continuously.

Engineer Wael said that the Dubai Police Station reviewed the M210, which is used for the purpose of securing events and traffic and contributing to the discovery and extinguishing of fires.

It is characterised by its structure, which uses three cameras and surveillance cameras.
