AD CP issues decrees for Adec

ABU DHABI: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, issued 5 decrees for the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council. The decisions were published in the Official Gazette, which is issued by the General Secretariat of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

Sheikh Mohamed issued decree no. 58 for 2018 for the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council regarding the acquisition by Aldar Properties-owned companies of real estates in Abu Dhabi.

The decision stipulates that Aldar Properties-owned companies will have the right to acquire real estates at no less than 50 per cent of the capital directly, as well as indirectly. This excludes the companies that are set up as real estate investment portfolios.

The right will not be revoked by the fact that non-Emirati citizens or the like own stocks or shares in these companies. The decision takes effect from the date of issuance on July 25, 2018.

Sheikh Mohamed also issued decree no. 51 for 2018 for the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council appointing Rashid Ateeq Al Hameli as Director General of the Social Care and Minors’ Affairs Foundation.

The decision should be implemented from the date of issuance on June 5, 2018.

He also issued decree no. 53 for 2018 for the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council regarding Abu Dhabi’s 18th investment zone.

The decision should be implemented from the date of issuance on July 3, 2018.

Besides, Sheikh Mohamed issued decree no. 55 for 2018 for the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council restructuring the board of directors of the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi under the chairmanship of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and decree no. 56 for 2018 establishing the board of trustees of Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi under the chairmanship of Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh.

Sheikh Mohamed issued decree no. 57 for 2018 for Abu Dhabi Crown Prince restructuring the board of directors at the Social Care and Minors’ Affairs Foundation under the chairmanship of Jaber Mohammed Ghanem Al Suwaidi with Mohammed Abdullah Al Rumaithi, Mohammed Sultan Al Hameli, Khalaf Abdullah Al Hammadi, Salah Mohammed Al Waswasi, Mohammed Abdullah Al Mutawa and Khalifa Ali Al Fahim as board members. The term of membership of the board will three years, and is renewable. The decree was implemented from the date of issuance on July 26, 2018.
