Man hides heroin in stomach

DUBAI: The Criminal Court in Dubai, on Thursday, looked into a case of an Asian visitor, 50, accused of attempting to smuggle narcotics into the country in his abdomen.

The suspect had been detected at the Dubai Airport, after the inspectors doubted him. He had been subjected to the X-ray device, which showed that strange bodies were inside his abdomen. He was questioned by the authorities at the airport. He confessed to swallowing amount of heroin capsules weighing about 500 grammes. Accordingly, he was taken to Rashid Hospital, where the narcotics were extracted. The accused was then referred to the judicial departments for further legal action.
