Former Swiss leader praises Khalifa

ABU DHABI: The former president of Switzerland, and co-honorary chairman of the Emirati-Swiss Friendship forum, Pascal Couchepin, has said that under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has achieved more stability, growth, economic prosperity and social welfare for the country.

In a statement to Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the occasion of the UAE’s 41st National Day celebrations he said, “The UAE, under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa, has become one of the most important countries in terms of economic and political status, thanks to its outstanding achievements in all fields.”

He also expressed the hope for further progress and prosperity to the UAE.
