ABU DHABI: President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has sent a message of condolences to the two former US presidents, George HW Bush (senior) and George W. Bush (junior) on the death of former US first lady, Barbara Bush, 92.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sent two similar messages to the 41st US President George HW Bush, and to the 43rd US President George W. Bush.

Barbara, the wife of the 41st president, George HW Bush, and mother of George W. Bush, died on Tuesday at the age of 92.

A private funeral for Barbara, the only American woman to see her husband and son both sworn in as president, will be held on Saturday at a Houston church where her family has been members since the 1950s, officials said.

First lady Melania Trump will attend the funeral, her office said on Wednesday.
