Dubai host final leg of dufc

Dubai: du Football Champions, in partnership with LaLiga, kicked off the final leg of the nationwide tournament, home of the official UAE Schools and Streets Cups, on Saturday, with over 150 teams registered to play from across Dubai tournament.

“It’s great to see over 1,000 youth from across Dubai come out to play football, the game they love, and chase their dreams for football careers. du is delighted to witness the continued growth of the youth football community through du Football Champions tournament and du Talent online community. We are committed to continue to develop their skill and growing the sport among young people across the nation,” said Abdulwahed Juma EVP Brand and Communications at du.

The first week saw most teams in the UAE Schools and Streets Cups keen to increase their scouting chances through connecting online on du Talents.

From the blow of the very first whistle, it was made very clear, which were the teams to watch. Dubai English Speaking College (DESC), who have participated in the UAE Schools Cup since 2015, have come in with guns blazing registering teams in U-12, U-14 and U-16.
