DUBAI: Dubai prosecutors seek to instil the responsibility and culture of charitable work and activate and promote social responsibility among members of the community, they underscored on Thursday.

As part of a drive to translate this objective into reality, the Dubai Public Prosecution organised a charitable initiative benefiting children hailing from underprivileged families.

The event’s activities included accompanying these children to a shopping centre, providing them with school supplies and preparing them for the new academic year.

This event is part and parcel of the Public Prosecution’s belief in the importance of backing charitable work and humanitarian principles, supporting the needy and the oppressed and creating a secure, stable and happy society.

It paces with the devotion to values of human solidarity that the UAE learnt from the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “May God rest his soul in eternal peace” and working together to continue with his career of goodness and giving.

The Dubai Public Prosecution ran the event in cooperation with the UAE Red Crescent Society on the occasion of the International Day of Charity which falls on the fifth of September each year.

The event was attended by a high-calibre delegation from the Dubai Public Prosecution headed by Counsellor Dr Mohammed Hussein Bin Ali Al Hammadi, the head of Deira Prosecution.
