DUBAI: A 49-year-old jobless Asian connived with two other fugitives to break into an apartment in Naif area. The suspect forcibly pushed the door open.

They tied up a victim, beat him up and threatened to kill him using a knife.

They reportedly covered the victim’s mouth while two of his roommates were asleep.

The suspect and the other accomplices stole $3,000, 5,200 Chinese yuan, Dhs300, three mobile phones and three Chinese passports.

Investigators identified the suspects through the surveillance cameras in the building.

The cameras clearly showed the main suspect’s face when he entered the building.

The victim recognised the suspect in the picture and he was consequently referred to the public prosecution.
