ABU DHABI: The weather is expected to be humid in inland areas in the morning and partly cloudy and sometimes dusty during the day, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Active north-westerly winds will continue to blow in the UAE. They will be stirring dust during the day and strong sometimes offshore at 20-30 km/h and up to 50 km/h. The sea will continue to be very rough to rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderately rough sometimes in Gulf of Oman.

The weather is expected to continue to be humid in the morning till Jan.5. Light fog may be formed in some inland areas, while the weather will be partly cloudy during the day with the clouds increasing in some areas, particularly the eastern and southern mountains. Light rain can be expected until this evening.

The NCM is reiterating its previous warnings to beachgoers in the Arabian Gulf as the sea will continue to be rough due to the active northwesterly winds.

The waves offshore will be 4-6 feet and can reach a maximum of 7 feet until 2pm on Jan.5. The waves will be moderate offshore in the Sea of Oman at 2-4 feet and up to 5 feet from 1pm today.
