ADEN: Explosive devices disposal engineers are continuing to clear mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted in the liberated Mokha city.

The mines were planted by the Saleh/Houthi militias to impede the advancing national Yemeni army and resistance fighters.

''The Yemeni national army on Thursday arrested 20 elements of the militias while combing the city,'' a military source was quoted as saying by the Yemen news agency.

Yemeni forces, backed by the Saudi-led coalition, liberated the strategic Red Sea port city of Mokha from the Houthis after fierce fighting.

The army and resistance fighters shelled a number of Saleh/Houthi militias' fronts in the governorate of Shabwa, and targeted a militia military convoy in the directorate of Khab.
