DUBAI: In celebration of the launch of the 15th anniversary of the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge, key sponsors and regional media on Wednesday descended upon the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai for a sponsors and media briefing, followed by a nine-hole round of golf and lunch.
The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC) was first launched in 1997 in the UAE with the key objectives of providing corporations with a platform for business networking in a leisurely environment and enable like-minded individuals to forge new business relationships. The tournament is an 18-hole two person best ball medal event open to all male and female golfers who hold an official handicap. It has proven to be a success for Xerox since its inception and has twice won the esteemed title of ‘Best Corporate Golf Event in the Middle East’, due to its unique mix of business and pleasure.
The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge, which is a sporting event held in all GCC countries and this year includes South Africa, consists of 11 qualifying rounds. The first qualifying round will take place on Feb.22 in Bahrain.
