Abu Dhabi: The Higher Organizing Committee of Aqdar World Summit held a meeting earlier at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi that was chaired by Dr Abdullah Al Raisi, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of Aqdar World Summit. During the meeting, the committee announced that ‘Abstract Submissions’ for the 2nd Aqdar World Summit are now open and stressed that abstracts must meet the standards of the underlying theme of the conference, under the title “Role of Human Empowerment in Developing Stable Societies: Sustainable Development”.

The Higher Organizing Committee meeting, which was held in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Interior, Khalifa Empowerment Program for Students “Aqdar” and INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions, revealed that the deadline for Abstract Submissions is the 15th of September, next month. The committee stated that the scientific council of the summit will evaluate the content of each abstract and make the final selection. Furthermore, the meeting highlighted the role of the media in spreading the central message of the Aqdar World Summit, which is empowering the individual in developing strong, stable and sustainable societies.

Aqdar World Summit will bring together top experts and speakers from various fields under one roof, who will offer their insights on the latest trends in sustainability and raise awareness about many programs that can benefit communities. The event looks to achieve its main objective of “Nourishing Minds, Flourishing Nations.”

The 2nd edition will feature 7 main sessions that are inspired from the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), where the 1st session will be dedicated to the Late founding father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan (Peace Be Upon Him), commemorating his key teachings which are focused on developing, educating and equipping the human race with the knowledge and skills to build a safe, promising and prosperous nation.

Aqdar World Summit, held from the 26th to the 28th of November at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec) is an initiative of the Khalifa Empowerment Program for Students “Aqdar”.
