ASTANA: A military helicopter made a dramatic landing on a Kazakhstan highway to ask a lorry driver for directions to the nearest city, leading to traffic disruption.

The pilot was lost in the snowstorm.

The Soviet Union-designed and now produced by Russia, Mi-8 blocked a truck convoy. The lorry driver was taken aback by the situation. A crewmember then got out and walked up to the truck and started asking for directions to the closest city.

The video of the helicopter sitting in the centre of a two-lane highway, its rotors whipping up snow all around, has gone viral on social media.
