NEW YORK: President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi of Yemen has expressed his country’s gratitude to the President, government and people of the UAE, for the continuous support and extensive efforts to regain legitimacy in Yemen.

Addressing the 71st UN General Assembly session in New York on Friday, President Hadi also valued the efforts by the relief agencies in the GCC countries in support of Yemen.

He said Iran’s destructive plots in Yemen are doomed to fail.

“The Iranian plots against Yemen, carried out by its mercenaries the Houthis and their allies, the forces of deposed president Saleh, are on the brinks of utter failure,” he stated.

He also accused Tehran of sponsoring sectarian terrorism.
