Gargash leads UAE delegation at 149th AFMC meeting

CAIRO: A UAE delegation led by Dr Anwar Bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has participated in the 149th session of Arab Foreign Ministers Council meeting in the Arab League, in Cairo.

The UAE delegation included Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States; Dr. Abdul Rahim Al Awadi, Advisor to Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Abdullah Matar Al Mazrouei, Director of Arab Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Ali Matar Al Mannaei, Director of the Office of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting Saudi Arabia was handed over the chairmanship of the session, represented by the Saudi Minister of State for African Affairs, Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Qattan, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Dr. Mishaal Al-Solami, and 18 Arab ministers.

The ministers also discussed the latest developments in the region.
