RAK teen succumbs to run over accident injuries

RAS AL KHAIMAH: A 14-year-old Syrian national, Bilal P. A, died in Saqr Governmental Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah on Thursday.

The deceased succumbed to serious injuries he sustained after he had been run over by car while riding his bicycle on the street opposite Al Naim City Centre in Al Dhait area in Ras Al Khaimah.

The victim was reportedly admitted to the intensive care unit at Saqr Governmental Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah for first aid.

According to the victim’s father, Bilal was on his way to a stationery to buy some papers and school supplies for his sisters when he was knocked by a car driven by a UAE national.

According to medical sources in Ras Al Khaimah, the boy’s condition was very dire due to a major injury to his head.
