AJMAN: As part of the activities organised on the sidelines of the sixth edition of the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition-2018 (AETEX), Ajman Chamber held the Private Universities and Cultural Attaches Forum, where the emirate’s colleges and universities meet representatives of embassies, consulates and cultural attaches directly to discuss the means of strengthening the future cooperation.

Held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ajman, the Forum was attended by a number of ambassadors, consuls and cultural attaches from Arab and foreign countries, along with Dr Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Board of Directors Member of Ajman Chamber and Chairwoman of Ajman Businesswomen Council, Nasser Al Dhafri, Head of AETEX’s Organising Committee and Executive Director of Members Support, Mohamed Al Janahi, Executive Director of Business and Investment Development, and representatives of Ajman University, City University College in Ajman, Gulf Medical University and University College of Mother and Family Sciences.

The opening speech was delivered by Dr Amna, who welcomed the gathering, considering the Forum a key pillar of sustainability and development of the higher education sector in Ajman. It also serves as a direct and effective communication tool between the private universities and the diplomats, she said.

“The meeting of this elite of diplomats and representatives of universities and colleges will enhance academic cooperation and guide students to study various disciplines in Ajman which has distinguished and reputable educational institutions. It further aims to expand the green investment through the opening of branches of the universities and colleges outside Ajman, and discuss opportunities to attract leading international institutions to open branches in the emirate.”

She added, “We all see that the higher educational system in the emirate of Ajman is witnessing steady developments at all levels under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, which also translates Ajman Vision 2021.”
