1st Islamic Mongols Coin revealed

SHARJAH: His Higness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has revealed the first Islamic Mongols Coin.

The coin will be displayed in the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization.

Based on the directives of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, the silver coin - minted in Baghdad following the Mongol conquest of the Abbasid Caliphate in 1258 AD - will be added to His Highness’s collection of Islamic Coins at the museum.
