Anasy Media celebrates 10 years of success, presents ‘Nanny Culture’

ABU DHABI: To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Anasy Media Abu Dhabi presented the much liked Documentary “Nanny Culture” in the Capital recently in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance.

The release of “Nanny Culture” in Abu Dhabi follows its successful circuit at the international film festivals around the world.

It has won several awards and trophies, like: Best Documentary Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival, Best Documentary Award at the Toronto International Film Festival “Nollywood “ Canada, the Golden Award in the Hollywood Film Competition, Finalist at the American Film Awards and Finalist at Phoenix Film Festival in Melbourne.

The story revolves around an Emirati family who temporarily hire the services of a British nanny to help them organise their children’s daily activities and study schedules.

“Nanny Culture” will be screened for the public at VOX cinema in Abu Dhabi – Nation Towers on July 16 at 9.30pm.

The documentary film is a concept idea of Sheikha Alyazia Bint Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, directed by the British director Paul James Driscoll and distributed by Mad Solutions.

The comedic documentary offers a lighthearted take on this community of nannies.

The film delighted the audience here in Abu Dhabi when it was screened for invitees at a specially built crystal tent to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Guests at the event lauded the film saying it’s fun filled for the children and shows the real facts local families face with foreign nannies.

The documentary shows a panoramic view of some of the prominent landmarks in London and the UAE, highlighting its heritage, cultural and sports related locations along with several tourist destinations. The film is an authentic imprint of the living experience in the UAE.

Sheikh Nahyan attended the 10th Anniversary of Anasy Media, in the presence of the Tunisian singer Latifa, Dr Habib Ghuloum and his wife Haifa Hussain, actor Abed Al Fahad and his wife TV presenter Zeina Al Yazghi, Dr Ali Bin Tamim, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Media Company.

Also present were Ibrahim Al Abed, adviser to the National Media Council, Abdullah Al Serkal, Production Manager at Dubai Media, Abdulraheem Al Bateeh, Executive Director of Communications & Government Relations at Abu Dhabi Media, numerous ambassadors, diplomatic dignitaries and other prominent public figures.

“Nanny Culture” was also screened at the Hollywood Florida Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Awards, Sydney World Film Festival, Silk Road International Film Festival and Hong Kong Arthouse Film Festival.
