SHARJAH: The Sharjah Ladies Club Branches (SLCB) and Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sunday, 5 November, to establish a strategic partnership that will allow them to launch an array of health programmes and projects for SLCB’s members. The MoU testifies SLCB’s strong commitment to providing their members with quality health services.

The MoU’s signatories, Amna Al Shanasi, Manager of SLCB, and Santhosh Skaria, CEO of Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah, met for the signing proceedings at the SLCB headquarters. The agreement sets out an action plan to organise a programme for free health check-ups every quarter for SLCB members who will be provided Royal Class subscription cards. In return, SLCB will promote Al Zahra Hospital’s premium health services in their branches and on their website.

As part of the collaboration, Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah will organise educational workshops, lectures and medical examinations at all 10 SLC branches. The SLCB will also promote the services delivered by Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah to its patients, through placing its flyers and logo at all SLCBs and their activities and events, in addition to six advertisements on their website for a year.

Additionally, SLCB members will be entitled to 20% discount on all cash transactions barring medicines and consumer goods, 50% discount on primary medical tests, 50% on mammograms for ladies older than 40 years of age, 20% on teeth whitening and 20% on laser hair removal procedures. The hospital will also deliver additional services.

“At SLCB, we are keen to deliver premium services to our members, and seek to make every effort to facilitate their wellbeing. For this, we always pay special attention to our members’ health. We strongly believe this new agreement with Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah will go a long way in enabling us to meet our health and wellness goals we have for our members,” Shanasi noted.

“We are keen to providing a healthy environment to our members, in line with furthering the creation of healthy communities whose female and child members enjoy good lifestyles and overall wellbeing. We also seek to raise awareness about healthy lifestyle practices fortified with a good diet and ample physical activity. Such collaborations with reputable entities ensure we move ahead strongly on this path,” she added.

For his part, Santhosh Skaria remarked: “Through this partnership that brings us together with one of the most important recreational centres for women in the UAE, we are committed to offering all of our service and qualified medical teams who have to SLCB’s members. We look forward to the quarterly medical programmes we will be organising at SLCBs across Sharjah.”

“Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah features many medical departments including specialised oncology and ophthalmology centres, which adopts the latest and most developed international laser technologies to correct vision and eyesight as well as a centre for operations without pain or complications, and a cochlear implant centre (ear) among other centres. We are delighted to deliver our treatment services to all SLCB members,” he added.
