Ministry promotes political awareness among youth

DUBAI: The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs has organised a special event, titled, “Preparing a Politically Aware Generation,” as part of its efforts to strengthen the culture of political participation in the community.

The event was organised at the headquarters of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance, in cooperation with the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Giftedness and Creativity.

Tariq Hilal Loota, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, highlighted the ministry’s keenness to continue organising events to improve the political awareness of all segments of the community. He also noted the importance of promoting citizenship and positivity among the youth and strengthening their political participation.

Dr Jamal Al Muhairi, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Secretary-General of the Award, praised the ministry’s role in raising the political awareness of the community, especially students, while adding that the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award is embracing a group of excellent and talented students, and is keen to invest in the opportunities provided by the ministry to promote a political culture and raise the awareness of students and enrich their national loyalty. Dr Al Muhairi expressed his pride at the ministry’s contributions and their cooperation in aiming to achieve the nation’s goals.
