DUBAI: The Dubai Public Prosecution on Sunday charged an Asian, QAP, with indecently assaulting an Arab saleswoman.

The prosecution cited that the suspect molested the woman in the building where she lived.

The woman reported that she was returning to her flat one day when the suspect joined her in the lift where he said to her, “I love you.”

She added that she met him 13 days later in the corridor of the third floor and he stopped her from entering her flat. She reportedly pushed him and fled into her flat.

The victim added that she reported the suspect to one of her colleagues who went to the building and confronted the suspect who denied knowing Arabic. The colleague reported the suspect to the police which interrogated the suspect and referred him to the Public Prosecution.

In a separate incident, the Dubai Public Prosecution charged a security guard, MRR, with detaining a maid in a flat and indecently assaulting her.

The victim cited that she asked the suspect, who was the security guard of the building where she lived, to call a taxi for her.

The suspect reportedly asked the victim to accompany him to the recreation area of the building but then forced her into a room where he molested her.

She added that the suspect allowed her to go out of the room when she called her sponsor, who came to the area and reported the suspect to the police. The police rushed to the spot and arrested the suspect.
