Sharjah Police issue rules for confiscated cars

SHARJAH: Sharjah Police will be soon launching a new service according to which the confiscated cars of the violating motorists will be parked at their homes during the confiscation period, while the cars’ plate numbers and the cars’ licences will be withdrawn by the police during the confiscation period.

To ensure the confiscated cars are not driven by the erring motorists, Sharjah Police will send a notification about the car through the federal system so that it is monitored through the GPS to ensure it’s not driven.

The new service was kicked off during the visit of Lt General Seif Abdallah Al Shaafar, Undersecretary of the Ministryof Interior who visited the Sharjah Police headquarters on Wednesday. He was welcomed by Brigadier Seif Al Zarri Al Shamsi, police in chief of Sharjah Police and Brigadier Abdallah

During the meeting, important figures and strategies of Sharjah Police were discussed in addition to the main challenges and obstacles faced by the police.

Lt General Al Shaafar also toured the various departments of the police and the new operations room. He praised the tremendous efforts exerted by Sharjah Police in overcoming challenges and negative incidents in the emirate.
